Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of LessTask and the Essential Service Bot (together, the “Platform”), a technology platform that coordinates on-demand service jobs between customers and the independent service providers who fulfill them. By using the Platform — including requesting a quote, booking a job, or providing your phone number — you agree to these Terms.

The service

LessTask connects customers who need moving and home services with independent service providers, and coordinates scheduling, communication, and payment for those jobs. Providers are independent contractors, not employees of LessTask.

SMS / Text messaging terms

By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive transactional service text messages from LessTask related to your quote, booking, and job — for example quote replies and estimates, booking confirmations and reminders, crew arrival updates, job address details, and job-completion codes. These are service messages, not marketing.

Message frequency varies based on your activity with us. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and reply HELP for assistance. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate information for your quote, booking, and contact details.
• Only submit a phone number you own or are authorized to use.
• Use the Platform lawfully and not to harass, defraud, or harm others.

Payments

Payments and deposits are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). Prices and estimates are approximate until confirmed; the final amount depends on the actual service performed.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LessTask is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or the services coordinated through it.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
