LessTask (“we,” “us”) provides moving and related home-service coordination. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to quote and deliver your service, and we never sell your personal information.
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us — your name, email address, and phone number.
- Service details — addresses, dates, item lists, and notes you provide to get a quote or book a job.
- Payment information, processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store card numbers.
- Basic technical data (e.g., your device/browser) needed to operate the website.
How we use your information
- To prepare and send you a quote you requested.
- To confirm, schedule, and carry out your service, and to keep you updated about it.
- To process payments and send receipts or invoices.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
SMS / Text messaging
If you provide your mobile number, you agree to receive transactional service text messages from LessTask related to your quote, booking, and job — for example quote replies, booking confirmations and reminders, crew arrival updates, and job-completion codes. These are service messages, not marketing.
Message frequency varies based on your activity with us. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can reply HELP for assistance.
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate — such as our payment processor and the crew assigned to your job — and only as needed to deliver your service or as required by law. As stated above, your mobile number and SMS opt-in are never shared for third-party marketing.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide your service and meet legal or accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it.
Your choices
